VidCon Essentials

Image
Vidcon has finally arrived! I've been waiting months for this moment. I have been purposefully building my blog and YouTube channel over the past year, and I am so excited to finally take part in this amazing opportunity. For those of you who have never attended Vidcon here are a few essentials to include in your packing. You'll be well prepared for every vlogging opportunity. 1. Backpack : This Hershel backpack is my new favorite accessory. It organizes all my tech gear perfectly, and it has extra room for merch. 2. Laptop : A laptop is necessary if you plan on doing any editing. I use my phone and iPad for editing as well, but it's a lot more efficient to use my laptop. 3. iPad/Kindle : It's important to give yourself downtime during the busy Vidcon schedule. Plus, you'll want to be reading your favorite Youtuber's books while you are there. 4. Mini Tripod : This mini tripod is great for traveling. It's perfect for desktop filming with your ph

Should You Subscribe?: Subscription Boxes

Image
Subscription boxes started off as a new and innovative way to get products directly to your door. Most of the early creators were beauty boxes boasting samples of new products. Now subscription boxes have spread to healthy snacks, shave clubs, and even pet toys. If there's a niche, subscription companies will find it and invade it. Then, when snack foods hit the scene I was intrigued. I can get food delivered to my door every month? Now, that I'd be willing to experiment with. However, I noticed that many of these companies were making money off of forgetful subscribers. Even when you don't place an order, you get charged. You are paying them... for nothing. So you have to make sure to read the fine print. Subscription boxes are good if

Luggage for Every Occasion

Image
I have been in nonstop travel mode this month. I just got home from traveling the midwest, and in just a few days I'm headed to the first of two conferences. Like every fashionista, I like to change things up when it comes to luggage. I love finding trendy pieces that can travel to any location. Here are my favorite bags for every occasion. Overnighter Henri Bendel Weekender Bag Overnight bags are great for short weekend getaways. Whether it's a short trip to the beach or a wedding weekend, these bags are big enough for all your glamorous accessories, but don't leave room for overpacking. Vintage Suitcase Christian Dior Vintage Briefcase This stylish luggage is best for road trips or train rides. It makes a statement, but the statement shouldn't be "Why did I decide to lug this thing across the airport?" Printed Suitcase Loudmouth Expandable Suitcase For longer trips and air travel go with a rolling printed suitcase. I can't tell you h

Staying Organized: How to Maximize Your Time

Image
Photo Source In today's world we are constantly obsessed with time. Mainly because we never seem to have enough of it. How many times have you caught yourself saying, "If only there were more hours in the day." I know I've felt like that a lot lately, especially in the summer when there are so many fun things to do. The fact of the matter is given more time we'd just find more things to fill it with, and the cycle would begin again. So instead of manifesting more hours in the day, let's make the most out of what we have. 1. Purge : First of all figure out what things you can purge from your daily routine. If I'm being honest the thing I had to eliminate was TV time. To some people that may be an important part of their routine, but I found myself just sitting mindlessly when I could have been doing something productive. This website has a calculator to help you figure out how much time your wasting, and how much time you can gain by eliminating or
