The Art of Making a Comeback

Image
The beginning of a new year is a great time to start over or for many start again. I find that I go through motivational cycles. The new year is one of those times where I feel reenergized and begin the process of reinventing myself and my brand. Morning Lux has always been a great format for this evolution. I get the chance to ebb and flow with the trends and with my own creativity. As this new year begins you will definitely see some new things here on Morning Lux. I want to more clearly define the brand of this blog by including a variety of material. Like opening the newspaper every morning, when you check Morning Lux you will find everything from pop culture to personal short stories and fictional work. I hope that this revitalized perspective will help my creativity blossom while simultaneously inspiring creativity in others.  So, good morning Luxers! How will you seize the new year?

Techie Tuesday: Evernote

Image
It's been a while since I've updated you guys on my favorite technology. This week I'm featuring one of my favorite ways to stay organized, Evernote. Evernote is a do it all application that you can access from any device. It's a word processor, ultimate checklist, notebook extraordinare.  Not only can you do everything from write an essay to save a recipe you can also add photos, audio, or other word attachments.  While getting ready for the new school year I created a few notes to help me prepare. I added a shopping list, decor inspiration, and preliminary lesson plans. You also have the option to organize your notes into categories from your computer. Evernote is incredibly user friendly and unlike other word processors is completely FREE!  Give it a shot and tell me what you think.

Making a Dreamer into a Doer

I've been lacking inspiration a lot lately. When I started this blog I was full of great ideas. My first few weeks of posts were right on target. Since then I've had some hits and some misses. My biggest problem has been turning my ideas into posts. I have a list of ideas that I could be blogging about, but every time I try to type the words it comes out as a jumbled mess. I've never been one to talk about something I didn't feel educated about. So when it comes to blog posts I never feel like my opinion is good enough. Maybe I'm just going through an insecure stage, but I'm lacking a lot of the motivation I had early on. I can't seem to find the spark to get writing.  Fellow bloggers, what motivates you? Where do you find inspiration?
