Trend Crush: Bar Carts

This week's trend crush is bar carts. Bar carts are a great summer staple because they are a source of hospitality when you are entertaining. Offering someone a well dressed drink is a great way to make them feel welcome. There are so many options to creating and styling a bar cart. You can DIY or you can mix and match pieces from different places. Here are a few ideas for creating your own.


Pick your cart:

Go with a classic style like this one from Target or try something more simple like this blue cart from Ikea. You can also DIY by turning an old bookcase into a cart.

Add glassware:

Choose glassware that makes a statement. Don't forget a shaker. Both of these are from Pier 1.

Decor:

Don't forget to add a little personality with a piece of art or fresh flowers. My favorite place to find artwork is Marshalls, but I actually found this piece at Wal-Mart.

The Booze:

Go with the basics whiskey, tequila, white rum, and vodka. It's also nice to have a bottle of wine or champagne on hand as well.
